Hyundai Tucson is hiding design flaws in plain sight
Bought a new car, Hyundai Tucson, in the first month we noticed holes in the roof behind the mirror, on the first service we showed this to the Hyundai service manager, we walked to another NEW car of the same model and it too had the same holes in the roof, it looks like the premium model have features that is not in the base model mirror, then they keep on using the same roof lining to save costs hoping customers will not notice. It looks terrible because all the cars have the same roof lining, as a customer I would not have wanted to buy a new vehicle with holes in the roof, the car feels like it is not finished properly. This was the response after we lodged a complaint :
Good day Mr Le Roux
HASA (Hyundai South Africa) communicated with HMC (Hyundai Motor Company in Korea) regarding roof lining. HMC has advised this is the design for all vehicles, we cannot replace the roof lining under warranty.
This is a design feature that is not easily noticeable, but once you see it it cannot be unseen, I feel cheated by Hyundai South Africa and would not recommend this car to anyone, go have a careful look at the new models and the roof lining behind the mirror in the center of the car.
