Hyundai Somerset West - cheating you out of the value of your car

I bought a 2013 Hyundai I10 (51 000 km) from Hyundai Somerset West in September 2020 for R105 000. I drove 7 000km with the car. I took the car back to Hyundai Somerset West d today to have a valuation done because I want to sell the car.

The dealership manager gave me a buying in value of R67 000. He said that is an absolute value and that they unfortunately cannot deviate from that.

I then said that in that case, they grossly overcharged me in September 2020 for the car. He then changed his tune completely and said that the book value is only a suggestion and that a Hyundai I10 doesn't really have a book value because it is such a popular car and that they can pretty much charge what they want for it.

He gave me the valuation of R67 000 without even looking at the car.

This just confirms what everyone says about car dealers - that they are out to cheat and ***** you every chance they get. This is ****** horrible treatment of a possible client. What comes around goes around.
