Hyundai services without oil being in the engine!!!!
Hyundai South Africa, if this doesn't concern your business then nothing will: I sent my Hyundai grand i10 to be serviced at the Hyundai Pinetown for its 30000kms service, I sent it in yesterday (16/10/2019) (7:30am) service advisor Salome Odendaal. I picked up my vehicle up completion around 3:10pm . I drove home and decided after a few hours of the car be parked on a flat surface to check up on the oil , and upon the inspection I pulled out the dipstick and saw that there wasn't any oil indicated on the stick as it was dry and no oil showed up, this raised alarms (5:00pm) I then decide to check it later in the night (11pm) as I was very concerned that the engine could get damaged, but still there were no oil showing on the dipstick. Today 17/10/2019 I drove to work because this is my only vehicle and decided to check it again at work after few hours and stil nothing showed. I decided to call Hyundai Pinetown to inform them of this and they advised me that they will send out the services manager (Craig Moodley), upon arrival I took him to my car and showed him that there wasn't any oil indicated on the dipstick and he was surprised and asked to drive my car from my work place to the dealership to get it checked, he then comes back after and hour and says that it was half pint short of oil( like seriously) and that when they took it to the workshop it showed at that location of the dealership yet at my work place it was empty! He says that he filled the half pint oil that was short and that he doesn't know why it didn't show up when I showed him of the oil being empty. Hyundai please note you will be responsible for any issues that may arise from this incident regarding my engine as I had drove without oil for over 100kms until they figured that oil was either short or there wasn't any oil at all, it Hyundai service department negligence and I will hold you accountable.
