Hyundai Roodepoort is by far the worst dealership

My first interaction with Hyundai Roodepoort started on the 11/07/2017 when I brought my vehicle in or the 1st service of 15 000km. I dropped off my vehicle in the morning, they called me in the afternoon to come pick it up. Everything was well with the car. Then my 2nd service came on the 1/03/2018 for the 30 000km. This is when my nightmare began. I dropped off my vehicle in the morning, they called me in the afternoon to come pick it up. Everything was well with the car after picking it up. +-4 days later while driving an error popped up written Check BSD. Immediately I contacted Hyundai to inform them of this. The lady put through to service and they said I must bring the car in so they can check the blind spot detection. I advised them I will have to get time off work first then I will call them to arrange a booking. On the 25th of March my car was broken into at a parking lot at Ruimsig Stadium. They broke the window on passage side and scratched the body of the car in a few places, there was also a couple of dents. I drove the car home and the next morning on the 26th March the car had no power. I contacted my insurance who sent VDS Towing services to come tow the vehicle to their repair centre in Roodepoort. The repairs to the vehicle we approved my insurance and carried out by VDS Auto body. After getting my vehicle back I called Hyundai Roodepoort to schedule a booking so they can now have a look at the BSD error. We scheduled a booking for the 26/04/2018. That morning I dropped off the vehicle and left. I received a call from them around 13h00 informing that I had to pay +-R700 because they had to rest something on the blind spot detection. I explained to the person I spoke to that I will not pay for something that they messed with. This error only came up after the 2nd service with them. After explaining to him what happened, he said no its okay that will be on their account and I can come collect my vehicle, which I did. Again…. a week later the error came up. I called them back again and they put me through to someone in the technical department. I also had to explain this story to him from the beginning. He then said I should bring the car in however leave it with them for a couple days or a week so they can see what triggers this error to come up. I explained to him that unfortunately being without a car for that long is not an option due to work reasons. However, if I’m able to I will call them to make a booking or wait for the next service. My 3rd service came and I booked my vehicle in on 26/07/2018 for the service and for the Blind spot detection. That afternoon I collected my car and everything was fine on the vehicle. On my way home, I noticed that whenever I would indicate to turn and there was car in that area, the light on the mirrors no longer flicked to indicate there was a car in the blind spot. The next morning Hyundai called me doing a courtesy call. I explained to the person I was speaking to what happened when I was driving home. She said she would get someone to call me. I went into a meeting had a couple of missed calls from Hyundai. I called them back no one seemed to know who was calling me. So, I waited for a call which till date has not happened. I still have the same error.

On the 07/08/2018 late afternoon, I was at the mall and I placed my car keys on basin while washing my hands, when I went back my keys were no longer there. Searched everywhere did not find them. My husband came with the spares, I Immediately called my insurance and they advised for security reasons I should get a quote to change the keys. On the 08/08/2018 I called Hyundai Roodepoort to get a quote. They put me through to parts and there I spoke to Oupa Motshabaesi. I explained to him what happened in detail. I told him I need a quote all inclusive as was submitting a claim with insurance and they will only pay exactly what is on the quote. He said It would cost R1359.19. I asked him if this included everything. He said he forgot to add the labour which he just did and it all came down to R3265.00. I asked him again if he was sure this was everything. He confirmed it and emailed me the quote that afternoon which was WIP/Job No. 10673. I submitted all that to my insurance, see details below Your settlement breakdown details: Insured item retail value R 3,265.00 Less: Excess R-750.00 Adjustments R242.60 Total indemnity amount payment R2,757.60 Settlement amount we will pay to you R2,757.60

I was advised they had ordered everything and they will let me know when it arrives as it was on back order. On the 24/08/2019, i received a call from them that I should bring the car in on Monday the 27/08/2018 for everything to get done. On the 27/08/2018 I brought the car in the morning. I received a call around 13:00 from them and they have just noticed the quote I was given did not include remotes. After expressing my frustration to the lady, I spoke to she said she would speak to someone else and get back to me. A few minutes later Oupa called me, not saying much really just said he must have missed it and hung up. I again calked them back asking what must happen now. The lady I spoke to said I must just come collect my car. And that was that.
