Hyundai N1 City - Slow and Unsatisfying Service as whole

Super Long story so grav you popcorn and a cupof coffe because this is just dissappointing.

So I purchased a 350Z from Hyundai N1 City about 3 weeks ago on the 22nd of February 2021.

After waiting a week after signing all documentation necessary for the purchase, it took so long due to the soft top not be repaired before it was sold. This was okay though, I thought it would be fixed and looking better than it was.

Upon driving it the first day I noticed that the soft top wasn't sealing correctly (luckily not due to rain), I sent the eveidence of a video through to the Manager and salesman to bring it under their attention. They stated that they will replace the soft top completely, but a new snag came in the works.

6 days down the line it was Sunday the 28th of Feb and I am driving back from my friends place in Struisbaai. I was on my way back to CPT and had to stop at my dad's place in Villiersdorp to fetch something and there goes my clutch literally at the gate at about 2:45PM. No clutch whatsoever. pedal would get stuck at the bottom and I would need to pull it back up again, the clutch itself wouldn't release so I couldn't change gears. (Now the fun part starts)

Upon immediately phoning the dealership Manager about what happened he said that they would help resolve the issue at hand. My (supposedly new to me car) was given a 2 year warranty upon terms we agreed upon on the day of signing all the documents. The Manager was receiving one answer from the Warranty company and I was receiving another answer. Needless to say, it got to around 4 hours later from the initial call for a tow truck and no-one was still on it's way. I stated that I could arrange a different tow truck to deliver the vehicle that same night or the next morning, so the Manager decided it would be better to get the vehicle there in the morning. Around 6 or 7 AM the Manager phoned me the next morning stating that the cost won't be covered by the warranty company, thus they need to get their own towing company. I said it's fine but it needs to be moved as soon as possible to get the vehicle repaired as this was going to be my daily (great wishes so far). The towing truck finally arrived at 2PM to pick up the car and take it directly to the place where it will get repaired. It arrived at the repair place at 4:30PM more or less on the 1st of March. This made the total time spent to get a tow truck to tow the vehicle to a destination about 13 hours.

So the car as at the place of service, so everything should get sorted....I think not. Turns out there was an issue with Hyundai N1 City and the Warranty company on registering my car for the warranty. This then caused me to wait that entire week just to find out the dealership needs to cover the costs on it's own. Now personally it feels like they are afraid to spend money and I know they made some terrible decissions in the works causing them and myself more frustration and costs.

At the moment parts are suppose to be supp**** but are taking about 3 days to arrive, I personally don't buy this. I got qoutes for Racing Heavy Duty parts necessary to be shipped from the US that would take a week at the most, but here we are with local RSA supplies of factory OEM parts taking almost as long to ship, very unnacceptable.

To top it all I was told I am not allowed a loan vehicle from my insurance because it wasn't an accident or theft case, so this is understandable however the Hyundai can't give me one at all as well due to covid. Now I have lost family due to covid, but don't come with this BS and you allow test drives with cars...how does that work?

On top of that the finance team somewhere didn't do the necessary stuff to prevent the previous vehicle I traded in to be fully paid in the necessary time and thus that amount was also deducted from my account which I need to get a refund of. It was deducted on the 1st of March and I still haven't seen the money, I guess Hyundai/Wesbank wants to gain interest on other people's money.

Now I am at the brink of just canceling everything and looking for a different car with new issues :) , the joy of being young and stupid because you want a sports car.

Hope the story is interesting enough for Hyundai to give me some compensation, because I honestly want to get my legal team on this as well and a couple celebs just to slam their names in the ground for the way they are operating and how all this has gone.

I ended up renting a vehicle from a different place just to be able to commute as I use to. Needless to say, I will probably be paying my full premium for the car this month as well as my insurance...oh and let me guess, they will probably not tow my sports car to the different locations for all the repairs, no no they will be driving out my petrol for the final repairs since the vehicle can run, how nice of them.
