Hyundai Ignoring Dangerous Steering Defect – No Resolution for 4 Months
I purchased a Hyundai Grand i10 (KCB575EC) from Hyundai Port Elizabeth (Kelston Motor Group) and reported a serious steering defect — the vehicle pulls sharply to the left. A reputable alignment centre confirmed the issue could not be corrected due to a steering fault.
Hyundai admitted they could not resolve the fault and claimed to have escalated the issue to Hyundai SA. Since then, for nearly 4 months, I have: Submitted all documents and reports, Comp**** with requests, Repeatedly asked for technical reports and written confirmation of the vehicle’s safety — and received nothing in return.
They continue to insist I repeat wheel alignments, without addressing the real defect. This is a safety issue. Hyundai is ignoring its legal and ethical responsibility under the Consumer Protection Act.
