Hyundai i10 Grand window switch factory defect

Dear Hyundai Customer Service Team,

I am writing to express my disappointment and concern regarding the recurring issues with my brand-new Hyundai i10, purchased in 2022.

The problem lies with both front windows, which fail to close after opening. Regrettably, I am now experiencing this issue for the third time. Despite having the window switches replaced on both sides during the previous two instances, the problem has persisted, and I have recently had to replace the switches again.

I was informed that this is a known factory defect in the Hyundai i10 model. I am perplexed by this, as your website claims that Hyundai Genuine Parts are tested under extreme conditions to ensure durability. Furthermore, it is advertised that these parts can be tailored to suit individual needs.

As a loyal Hyundai customer, having previously owned an Atos for 12 years, I expected a higher standard of quality from my new vehicle. Unfortunately, my experience has been marred by this recurring issue. I am extremely dissatisfied with the lack of attention and transparency regarding this widespread issue, which seems to be consistently swept under the rug.

It is unacceptable that customers like myself are expected to tolerate such defects.

If I didn't have the benefit of warranty coverage, I would have been forced to bear the costly repairs myself, which is unacceptable given that this is a factory defect. I demand a more permanent solution to this issue, rather than repeated repairs.

Sincerely,

Miss T Govender
