Hyundai H1 - locks vehicle when rear door closes.

My wife had an unfortunate incident, with her Hyundai H1, my son is 11 months old and she opened the vehicle and rear sliding door to put him in the car seat. when she closed the door to get in the front and drive, the vehicle locked, and the keys were inside. She placed the key on the middle tray in anticipation of getting into the front, also she has to have her hands free to secure the baby into the car seat.<br> <br> Unable to open the car with a crying baby inside, after 10 mins she had no option but to break the glass in order to open the car. <br> <br> I find it highly ridiculous in this day and age with transponder keys that the vehicle locks itself with the key inside, furthermore that once you had opened it that it can lock by itself without pressing the key. This is extremely hazardous for women and children in particular. <br> <br> I would like an official response from hyundai and given my situation, what if this happens again, furthermore I would like the situation, feature rectified and if not possible then this vehicle taken back, and replaced.
