Hyundai Cresta's bad attitude
I made an appointment to have the fuel gauge repaired on 8 May, took the car in that day, a Friday, they 'phoned on Saturday and said the repair (including the fuel sender) would cost about R2 000. I told them to go ahead but the car has to be ready on Monday afternoon. I called to collect the car and was told that the part had not arrived. I said I would bring the car back when they had the part. They said I could not take the car until I paid for the part. I paid R1 030 towards the part and labour. (They took R1 030 and not R130 as I instructed.) They then said they would repair the car on Saturday morning. I took the car in again and insisted they confirm that they had the part and the car would be fixed this time. No, they did not have the part, although they all knew that the part would only be delivered on 24th May. The attitude of Olwyn Visagie, Service Manager, stinks! He puts the whole saga down to bad communication. He apologized only after we had left. He was extremely rude, inefficient, unprofessional and discriminatory towards my husband and me.
