Horrible service and Brand

Good day

2013 Santa Fe Vin: KMHSU81XSDU***00km

The AWD on my SF stopped working, Mosselbay Dealer spent (apparently) the whole day without finding the problem, on collection I was told to further investigate and check electronics I will be billed by the hour…… Why should I need to pay for your technician’s incompetencies? If they are not trained well enough, why should I be billed for their training, explorations and guesswork? Why am I being charged for a quote? How can I pay without the problem being solved or identified. I was also told that should the problem be in the gearbox/transfer case or more mechanical, the vehicle or the gearbox need to be shipped away….

Strangely a gearbox repair centre in George identified the problem within 45 min’s of diagnostics How can a non dealer do it so promptly and accurately while the dealer is unable to do so, shouldn’t the dealer be the first stop trusted and well equipped stop?

I then called the Hyundai dealer in George for a price and availability on the AWD/transfer case actuator (and possibly the wiring harness), I was promised a call back but 3 days later no response. After calling again, I was referred to parts eventually, awesome person named Eddie. Service was suppose to call me once again to discuss my warranty and arrangements, once again nothing, I then went to the dealer...., parts is not aware of any such components on the transfer case, but only on the rear differential. Service Manager talked to me and treated me like a school boy, no solution offered but to also want to charge me for finding the fault, at no stage was I asked which warranty I have or looked at what cover I have, I was just been told to prepare to pay, with no estimated amount, so my hard earned money is in the hands of a money making ****. Do I now get rid of this useless vehicle along with the other 9 Hyundai’s in the family and make sure other potential buyers are aware of this poor after sales and lack of repair knowledge? The vehicle is absolute useless to me now since I am unable to get out of my Driveway (Danabay is very steep) when wet, and my trailer is stuck at home now. This vehicle being front wheel drive and rather heavy is absolutely depending on the AWD system

Please advise about my future with Hyundai, because there sure are a lot of other competitive brands out there in today’s market.
