********** experience with Hyundai Constantia Kloof

On the 15th of March I visited Hyundai constantia kloof to have a look at the vehicle I’m intending on buying. I already had a worked out deal with Hyundai airport and I just wanted to have a look at the vehicle in person. The core of my deal at the airport was receiving the Hyundai venue with infotainment system and R25 000 cash back. I believe that that there were different forms of marketing going around regarding the cash back offer being between R20 000 and R25 000 cash back but the sales person from the airport negotiated my cash back to R25 000 with his dealer principle which I was happy with. On the 15th of March at the dealership, I was approached by a salesperson Itumeleng Botlhokwane or otherwise known as Pablo. Before I even had a chance to speak to him about what I want as a client, she shoved me to the FNI managers office already wanting me to do an application for vehicle finance, when I explained to the lady that this is not what I want as I already have another application at the airport. Pablo convinced me to take up a vehicle with their dealership because he will get me the same deal and something better as he negotiated free smash and grab for me. I thought what an awesome deal and took it up. All I needed to do is send a quote from the previous deal and all will be sorted. On this particular day, I also explained to Pablo my personal situation and he lead me on to believe all I need to do is send the quote and I will get everything as it was already negotiated. Days dragged as I was waiting for my licence documents to be finalised however, I went in to sign the contract at 9 am on the 26th of March and didn’t ask much questions as I’m not sure how the cash back is worked into the deal and assumed that everything is in order and the actual quote was used that I called the airport for on the 15th of March. Eventually I got my licence sorted on the 29th of March and when to collect my vehicle. When I got to the dealership on the 29th of March, my vehicle was looking beautiful but there was no ribbon on it and neither did the sales person offer to take a photo with me in front of my new vehicle, instead we rushed off to put in petrol in and he put the spare key in his pocket. He also took out the standard rims my vehicle came with out of the boot and took them into the dealership, I opted for rims which I paid for along with the vehicle so…you can say these are items I essentially paid for but I didn’t say anything. That evening, I wanted to confirm the deal with Pablo again, he advised that the cashback is only R20 000 and he also still has my spare vehicle key which I need to go back for and collect. I was upset as this was not what we agreed on and he basically claimed to have told me about the R20 000 but **** as I wouldn’t have opted for the vehicle at their branch as I was very happy with the deal the airport gave me. I sent an email to the FNI in the morning of the next day and she tried to help but Pablo was avoiding me and didn’t give me feedback or call me back and I ended up having to call the dealership multiple times. To be honest, I was at a point of cancelling their deal with immediate effect and rather taking up my original deal from the airport but everyone including Duncan Powall avoided me to do so and kept me on a string until the bank paid out the loan. Eventually Duncan called me at 5pm and after hearing my story was supposed to get back to me, he didn’t even bother as he most probably knew the deal was paid out already. 5 stars to him for treating his dealerships clients like trash. As a client I feel that I have been misled and received terrible service after purchasing this vehicle with the dealership, honestly I wouldn’t recommend Hyundai Constantia kloof to anyone and will be telling all my friends and family of my terrible experience.
