Hiding information

Hi

I purchased a demo Elantra from Hyundai Strijdom park. Two cars with the same colour were sold around the same time mine and another. The other one was involved in a bumper bashing. They used my cars bumper to fix the other car without telling me. The sale of my car seemed to be delayed. I was told that demo vehicles would not be sold following an accident.

They purchased a new bumper and fitted it on my car. The work was done poorly. Nuts and bolts have fallen out of the bumper. They wete cross threaded as well. So repairs are likely to be unsuccessful. The paint job was not done well. The boot lid is out of position as well. Why was the lid affected if only the bumper was swapped and there was no accident on the car. I should have been informed on the inspection when I asked if any work was done on the bumper and bonnet when i saw the small scratches on them.

There is evidence to suggest that they delayed my vehicles sale to favour the other sale. Why was I treated differently? The other customer wad told of the changes made to the bumper and I was not.

If I send my car for a service would they use parts of my car to fix another car for a customer who is more demanding? Where do they draw the line?

I am unhappy that I was not told about the swapping of bumpers. This would have affected my decision. What about my data dot id that is on the other car? The other party could meet in an accident drive off and the data dot could lead police to me. I have inmailed a few days ago on facebook but have not received a reply after a week.

I want a new car or a refund.
