Faulty goods sold
October 2016, I had purchase a vechicle from Hyundai East Rand in Boksburg , which was sold to me not in a good state. After purchase I drove the car less then a week but already it was indicating a fault with the engine, I then took it back in , they gave me back after a week saying that the issue has been fixed. After a week again , I enconted the same problem and I took it in again, They kept the car close to 3 weeks I then I received the car back again.
I decided to take in for inspection and the following results came:
The engine light on-camshaft dephasing faults Coolant leak from the outlet tank - Top blew and I was advised to replace the entire engine(which was going to cost me R35000 , and that's on a new car that means the car can not move without a top, nor an engine) Oil leak from the cylinder head cover Aftermarket brakes fitted to the vehcile -brake vibration detected The tyres needed to be replaced Aftermarket wiper blades
And so I took the matter to the MIO Motor Industry Ombudsman. After months of the omgoing case Ombudsman made a rulling a Rulling that I should take the car back, Hyundai must reimburse me, terminate the contruct or give me another vechicle of the same value, I took the car back to dealer as per closing letter from the obudsman , to date the dealer said nothing but took the vechicle, I stopped paying because by law you can never pay assets that you do not have on you, now Nedbank has handed me over , I am getting calls from lawyers for a car I do not even have.
I have a closing letter should you wish to see it. I do not understand why I still have to take other steps when all the findings are in favor of me.
