Factory fitted radio not included in Warranty
I bought a new Veloster last year from Hyundai and were given the run around for about 6 weeks. Finally I received my car and I love it. Since I had the car I have had problems with the car radio or speaker. This was reported soon after I took receipt of the car, again at 15000km service and again today for the 30000 service. I just received a call to say that the radio/speakers are not included in the warranty and that I have to pay R2000+ for the speaker. Funny part, I have to pay for the part first and then they will order. With their history of service (or lack thereof) although they said it may take 3 days, I am not expecting the part to arrive at all and trying to get my money back will be virtually impossible. I find it interesting that the factory fitted radio is excluded from the warranty and I also have to pay ahead for a speaker to be ordered. Once again Hyundai let me down, as much as I love the car I will NEVER invest in one again which is sad seeing that we use the i20/i30 as company cars. Well, that will change now too. I am so OVER Hyundai and their shockingly bad service.
