Dishonest Sales Company

Almost a year ago I bought a Hyundai I20 from Hyundai Brackenfell. In December 2015 i told the salesman I wanted to buy a Hyundai I20 2016 model. The salesman JP was all too friendly and said I could take delivery of the vehicle in December 2015 and they will register the vehicle in 2016. I received a temporary licence on my vehicle and took delivery on the 18th of December . They told me that I would need to come back in the new year for my number plates. Whilst driving the vehicle i encountered some issues with the vehicle and contacted the salesman . He knew I was planning a trip away and said we can look at it in the new year. I contacted him the 4th of January to let him know I was back in Cape Town but he made no effort to arrange for number plates and my temporary licence was expiring the 7th of January . With no joy, we reached the middle of January and I then made contact with the Manager George. He then promised to assist me and sort out the problems on the vehicle. I also paid for a personalised number plate in December, however, when they registered the vehicle in January the name was no longer available . George refunded me for the number plates and fixed the other issues on the vehicle. In March of 2016, I was contacted by Natasha from the dealership to advise that my vehicle was registered a 2015 model and the bank requires me to complete new documents for my vehicle. I declined and was so angry due to me believing that my car was registered a 2016 model which I had instructed and paid for. I then emailed George the principal DP and he told me due to them having an audit and me signing the terms and conditions there was nothing they could do. on correspondence with George, he told me he tried everything to get me a 2016 model, however, I needed to pay in R7000 if I wanted a 2016 model as it was March already . Excuse me, I paid a 2016 model in December ....so upon emails backwards and forth nothing happened and I approached the Onbudsman with a case still pending. I even tried to contact Paul Turnbull head off Hyundai Cape Town but no response . George even had the nerve to tell me that I was better off with a 2015 model due to me travelling alot....hello, that was not what I paid for? People do not purchase a vehicle in December , especially a brand new model, as they will scheme you into the sale of the vehicle , later to only find out, you paid for something you never wanted. I am appalled with the response from Hyundai and they were not even willing to refund me for the price difference on the vehicle and offered me a demo model. if I wanted to purchase a demo model, I would have asked for one . I will never in my life purchase a vehicle from Hyundai again and disgraced with the response!!!!!
