Damaged property

Hello Peter

I have a big problem with one of the Hyundai driver who crushed into my grandmother's wall and gate in April. I've tried my level best to ask for assistance from the company and no one is willing to assist my family. We leave in a dangerous area around Soweto in Naledi and my grandmother's house is the second house from the corner and next to a passage where *****s and ******s stand at night. The guy promised to fix the wall end of April after getting paid and he failed. After the incident Hyundai sent a representative to come take pictures and statements so that they claim for insurance but what is sad on my side is we are now approaching the 3rd month and the wall has not been fixed and I've send communication to head office and I've received the below response. Peter could you please be so kind and assist us on what to do since I'm failing to get a solution to this issue. We have sleepless nights because all this *****s run to our yard at night making demands and they promised to brake the doors if we don't give them money. Is so scary when we get knocks on the front door every night from this people trying to get inside the house. The worst part is my kids are traumatized they don't sleep. Im pleading with you Petr to please help me😭😭 Please see below email sent to Hyundai and their response. Good day Lerato

Trust you are well

I writing this email with a sad and emotional concern regarding one of your sales rep Mr Junior Sempe. On the 28 April 2024 he accidentally crushed my wall and gate in the early morning around 2h20am. We agreed to give him the company car because he is new in your company and we did not want to put him in trouble. He promised to fix the wall and gate on the 25 May 2024 after receiving his salary. But now it has come to my attention that he is now running away and not fixing the property damages. I would like to know from you if it is ok that we hand over this to the court for demand so that the company can help us since it was the company car involved. Apologies for putting this in your hands since you were not involved but your company car and employee was involved.

Your urgent response regarding this will be highly appreciated

Kind regards Elizabeth Modisane

Good Afternoon Ms Modisane

Thanks for passing the below matter, however we will not be getting involved from Head Office.

Kindly be advised that any dealings should be addressed to the dealership in question .The customer does have the right to open a civil legal case against the driver.
