Car keys lost during service
My girlfriend and I took her car in for a service at Hyundai Strijdom park last week Thursday 2017/10/05.
At around 3 in the afternoon my girlfriend called to confirm what time the car would be ready for collection.
At this point she was informed that they had lost her car keys and hadn’t started servicing her car yet.
They asked her to go home at get her spare keys so that they could continue with the service.
The person who she was dealing with at the dealership - Flynn Lundy didn’t offer her a lift home to get the spare keys.
I left work early, and got her to speak to Flynn at the dealership.
He proceeded to blame a worker who works for the people that wash the cars for losing the car keys.
We left for a 30 km round trip to get the spare keys and return to the dealership.
The car was then serviced within 15 minutes and as a result was not cleaned properly (there was engine oil spilt over the front bumper and a greasy hand print on the door)
Flynn Lundy promised to call back by the end of Friday 2017/10/06 to update us on replacing the key which they had lost.
He never called us and as a result I called him to follow-up. He promised to call us with feedback by 13:00 on Monday 2017/10/09.
He never called us back on Monday, he promised to contact us today on Wednesday 2017/10/11 to facilitate replacing the key.
No surprise, he never called back on Wednesday, after struggling to get hold of him at the dealership. He said he would contact us when the key arrives, given his tendency to never actually contact clients when promising to do so. We think this will never happen.
The way that this situation has been handled and the utter unprofessional behavior of the staff at Hyundai Strijdom park has left us very frustrated and disappointed in the brand.
