Brushed off at Hyundai Worcester
Wednesday, 29 September 2021,I took my car for a service at Hyundai,Worcester, same as last year. This time, however,I asked if they could check my driver side window,as it doesn't roll down properly. Later the morning, someone called me from Hyundai, saying that I might need to have my aircon regassed and wiper blades replaced as well.I asked what it would amount to and I was told more or less R5000.At about 4pm,I collected the car and paid and saw they indicated the aircon, blades and window switch.I left. On Sunday,3 October 2021,I came through the tollgates and rolled down the window to pay.As I put my arm out of the window to pay,the window started rolling up on its own and my arm was literally stuck in the window!the lady at the tollgate came out of her cubicle to see of she could not assist me,I was very traumatised by them.I then managed to open the door with my other hand, while my right arm was still stuck in the window, long queue of cars still behind me.While still trying, the window eventually rolled down, leaving my arm bruised, swollen and sore to the touch.I had to drive the rest of the way. This morning I woke up with the arm even more bruised and I decided to inform the guys at Hyundai.the 1 gentleman told me I can have the window looked at later in the day.I popped around at Hyundai and upon getting there, the same gentleman called 1 of the other guys, who apparently worked on the car,but also the same guy who dropped me at work the day of the service. The 2 gentlemen spoke and the 1 returned and said the other guy said they never said they fixed it,they just looked at it.If that was the case, why was I not informed of this or then given a quote to fix the window,if it was not fixed? I left Hyundai Worcester still bruised, disappointed and with a quote of almost R3000 to have the window switch repaired.I just feel the situation could've been dealt with better,a manager could have explained the situation to me and I was informed that the switch was not fixed,it would've spared me unnecessary trauma and injury. What if it happened to 1 of my children? As a loyal customer of Hyundai,I think I deserved so much more than what I got.my money was good enough, yet I didn't get the necessary respect and consideration in explaining what happened.I felt like something the cat dragged in.Service sucks
