Brand new i20 N (3,000km) fails – Hyundai charging for warranty recovery

I am extremely disappointed with the service and technical "logic" provided by Hyundai Mobeni and Hyundai SA (Care).

My 2025 Hyundai i20 N, which has only 3,000km on the clock, suffered a total "No-Start" failure on April 4th. The vehicle had to be recovered via Roadside Assistance.

The "No Fault" Myth: Hyundai Head Office (Care) is refusing to cover the recovery costs, claiming that because their computer didn't throw a "fault code," there is no fault.

I was forced to pay the R1,150 recovery fee under protest just to get my vehicle back. Charging a customer for the recovery of a brand-new, defective vehicle is a direct violation of Section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), which mandates that warranty-related recoveries be at the supplier's expense.
