Bad and unprofessional service at Hyundai PMB

On the 8th of November 2019 i had a mechanical breakdown due to overhearting and my car( Hyndai i10) was towed to Pietermaritzburg Hyundai in Greyling street. After two weeks without communication i than decided to call them. They said i should come and see them.

I went there than Mr Vijayn( consultant) said i should give them the permission to strip the car. He further said that i will have to pay R3500 for the said stripping so that they can detect the problem and claim from my warranty. I gave them a go ahead considering the fact that they had to detect the problem.

A week later i was told that my car engine has been damaged. I was quoted R90 000 for engine damages ( to my surprise) i than said to him i wont pay that amount because its like i am buying a new car now and i know the new engine for this i10 is R12500 at Engine Center. He than said he is giving me a discount to R62000. I than said still i wont be able to pay that amount. I can get another car witj that R62000. I than said to him the best way is to take my car. He than said i am liable for R3500 for stripping. I said ill only pay that R3500 only if they will put back every part as it was on my car., if i take as it is i will only pay R1750, which is the half of 3500.

Firstly, there was no legal explanation written down to me as a customer detailing the process of stripping, diagnosis etc. All i knew was that they will stripp and put back than i pay that 3500.

To my surprise today( 13th of December 2019) i was told that they cannot release my car without paying the said R3500 because engineers worked more than 6 hours stripping my vehicle. My question is who explained to me the issue of hours with the said engineers? Who explained to me the whole process of stripping and what i am liable for? Where is the legal written document explaining the said process and the issue of hours for their engineers? Is that important for customers to consider hours worked on stripping etc?

With that being said, i need them to return back all parts as they were than ill pay that R3500 because they did not explain to me that ill pay this amount although they wont put back my engine parts and its not written down legally as it supposed to be.

If they fail to return back all parts ill only pay R1750. I did explain to them this but they refused and i was told to come back on Tuesday( 17th of December) mind you my car has been there from the 8th of November.

Such a bad and unprofessional service ill never ever go there. I will report them to higher authorities if they fail to resolve this issue.
