Terrible customer service- leaking shock discovered 3 days later

Horrible customer service and sarcastic attitude from the Dealer Principal Gcina Mahonga towards when I tried to discuss the matter, there is a top down issue at this dealership.

I had purchased a pre-owned Hyundai i20 (2020) on 29 September, which is marketed as undergoing extensive quality checks to ensure the car has no issues, 3 days after the purchase a leaking shock was discovered?

How had the car passed its roadworthy or marketed 125 point check with a leaking shock ? I'm not sure.

I was told to go to the dealership and speak to Edgar Calvert (Service Manager) and he would help me. Edgar did not even bother to get out of his seat to speak to me but re-assured me that I could bring the car in the following week Monday and the new shock would be installed. I asked a few times if there was anything else to be done and he said no.

I messaged to change the day to Tuesday morning and double checked the day before that everything was ready for the car to be fixed but upon arriving in the morning I was told Edgar is not available , the part was not delivered and there was nothing noted about the car being fixed.

I was told I would be contacted when the part comes in and that arrangements would be made for somebody to pick it up. I wasn't contacted at all and a random person appeared at my house while I wasn't home to pick up the car. No contact was made at all just a random person claiming to work for Hyundai asking to drive off with my car.

It is now Thursday and when asking to discuss the issue this morning I was met by Gcina Mahonga was was nothing but sarcastic and insincere.

I've been calling customer care to attempt to log a compliant but the phone just rings.

I will be returning the car which is apparently allowed under the Hyundai Promise standards and if not will be seeking legal action.

I thought I would be getting peace of mind by directly dealing with a car dealership but all the rumours are true it seems
