Avoid at all cost.
I am utterly dissapointed with the hyundai bellville franchise and the dealer principal Andre Khun
I bought a pre owned vehicle in Feb 2022. Since day 1 I had problems with the vehicle. It overheated, it died on me numerous times. The coolant bottle loss coolant fast, I had to top it up daily. The head was "skimmed" in March of 2022. After a month of agony and not getting a courtesy car for the inconvenience. I had full confidence that they would rectify this issue
When it was time for the major service. I booked the car in at a RMI approved workshop and was told of the engine that was in bad shape. The top headgasket was "skimmed" too much on the one side. The pistons shrunk because of the excessive heat. To top it all off, the car had no thermostat installed and started to overheat again now before the festive season of 2022.
I went to the dealership to try and sort this out. Whereby the dealer principal Andre Khun did not want to see me. I was told by the pre owned sales manager that my visit will not be entertained. I have made more than my fair share of efforts to have everything sorted.
Why should a consumer experience such issues when the dealership was paid their hundreds of thousands? Is it right for a consumer to just carry on paying and also paying extra for costly repairs after the dealership took the car to dent experts for a head gasket to be skimmed. A non RMI approved workshop that does pannelbeating did mechanical work on the car's engine. Does that make any sense?
Hyundai Bellville's dealer principal does not want to take accountability or try to assist for a mess that they made. I came to a big dealership in good faith, peace of mind that i would get a reliable car. Instead i got a car that is not reliable. I might have gone to a smaller dealership and gotten much better service and a better conditioned car. At least they would have sorted out their issue
I would urge you to please avoid huyndai Bellville at all cost. They are friendly for your money and they flip the switch when you come back with issues. The dealer principal named Andre Khun is of no use at this stage. He would rather show his clients dirty looks than help to resolve the issue. This is not the way to treat a client
