Sold a Defective Car at Hyundai Airport Kempton Park
I bought a Hyundai Tucson from the dealership in May 2019. In December 2019, I discovered water was enter in inside of the car, with lots of water in the stare tyre compartment. I took the car back to the dealership to investigate and the report indicated that the car was repaired. With that knowledge and a report in did with Dekra, I requested the dealership to replace the car as this information (i.e. car being repair meaning it had an accodent) was never disclose to me before. I have made numerous attempts since 19th December 2019 to have the Dealership Principal to contact and rectify the problem and replace the car. He is avoiding my call and never responding to my emails. On one instance, I call the sale agent cellphone, who tracked him and gave him the phone. His offer, was that I should trade in the car for another of which he was offering R 60000.00 less that a settlement for this car, meaning that this amount would be loaded to any new car I buy. I told him that I cannot accept this offer as it is not fair, the car was defective before I bought it and why should I suffer (i.e R 60000.00) as the defect was there before I bought the car and this was not disclose. I did not cause the defect, they sold me the car with the defect. If I knew I would not have bought the car in the first place. ******, and the Dealer Principal is useless, I am not sure why he still hold that position if is cannot do it. Hyundai must hire a competent person.
