YES! LISTEN WHEN PEOPLE TALK

Got a letter today stating that we owe rent for April and May, and if this is not paid by 12th may we will be blacklisted, we gave notice to Huurkor on 29 February, moved out end March, Waiting for my deposit to be paid back to me, now im getting a surprise of two months rent due? How in this life is one supposed to pay 2 x rent and this is in a place you are not even living in, they have two clauses in their contract, 1 stating that you are liable for the rent for the whole 12 months should they not find people to rent (***) and second clause, brach of contract you pay penalty fee of R400 plus VAT, that is what we've been told since the beginning, so they just choose which one suits them.. I am tired of businesses *****ing hard earned money! I This is not acceptable, i will tell as many people as possible about how they do business!! I am asking everyone to listen when people say, dont do business with them, they ***** your money!! Our flat was so unsafe, in 5 months 3 break ins and my car alarm went of fourth nightly, complained but no effort on where the intruders got through<br> No stove in the flat, WHAT A DISSAPOINTMENT IN THE WAY YOU DO BUSINESS! SIES MAN

Hello Consie,

Good day
I presume that you did read the lease agreement and that it was discussed and explained to you as all our lease agreements are, and all our staff is trained to explain the contract to you, as it is our instructions to explain the contract no matter how many times you ask, also you received a checklist to state that you did understand the lease agreement and that everything was explained to you. Also note that we do not choose which procedure we want to use. Please see Clause 3 in our lease agreement which states that you will be held liable for the 12 month rental period also that you need to give 2 (two) months full calendar notice to which you only gave one month notice. Also note that you did go and view the unit and you did know in which condition it was before moving into the unit, also as explained to you previously we can not do any maintenance work without consent from the owner. Lastly Sectional Title management is responsible for the security of the complex and not the rental agent. We do apologies for your inconvenience and the experience you had with Huurkor but everything was followed by law from our side. I trust you find the above in order.
Regards
