WHY is it so hard to terminate your lease with Huurkor?

<p>I had a lease for four tenants who lived at Madeira in Pretoria. The place is decent to live in but the landlord/caretaker is so rude and disrespectful that he makes it hard for the tenants to live there. i dont know if huurkor is aware of the type of person they hired. Apart from that we have been trying to terminate our lease with them and there is always a story of some sort. In my history of living I never knew of a lease that forces you to pay rent for the remainder of the lease period even if you have given them two months notice. and from all the reviews I have read about them withholding people's deposits I don't even have faith that they will refund my deposit. All they ever say is that you are liable for payment and that they will hand you over to the lawyers, Can huurkor get a reality check and start treating tenants as tenants and not slaves to their tight lease agreements that do not offer flexibility</p>
