Unproffesional and unhelpful!

The most unhelpful and unprofessional staff I had ever had to deal with! I was on maternity leave and wasnt recieving a full salary, I then had to make an arrangement with Huurkor stating that I would not be able to pay the full rent amount in one payment for only one month. Before I could do so, Huurkor requested that ismetering switch off our electricity without our knowledge. (Which is ******* - I kept on repeating to them that its ******* but the financial lady, Martha, kept on replying with "pay your rent". I would tell her its not possible and how does she think I should come up with the amount. She rep**** with "borrow it from someone"). I then wanted to speak to someone who would listen to me and understand my problem. I was put through to Wendy, the manager. What a big mistake! I told her that in my lease agreement it states that if in the event that my rent is not paid or late, I would have to pay an administration levy OR they can evict us. BUT both had to be done with a notice from Huurkor and/or a court order. There is no place in the lease agreement whatsoever where it states the electricity will be cut off by them without any notice to the tenants. Wendy had the nerve to tell me Im using my child as an excuse and that I knew for 9 months I would have to make a plan for rent and that the roof over my head should be more important than anything else, and if the rent wasnt paid within the next 2 days they will collect my furniture! I never said I wont pay the rent, I just asked for a grace period until I recieved a full salary again and they treated me like a ********. My rent had never been late or unpaid before, I will never in my life rent/buy housing through Huurkor again!
