Roof leak damaged my property and agency isnt taking responsibility

I have been renting in a certain unit 178 in one of this agency's properties in centurion from last year November. 3 weeks or so of moving here.i bumped into the previous tenant who told me that the reason he moved out was because of a leaking roof that he had complained about numerous times and the agency did nothing about it.well I continued renting as I saw nothing however had other issues that I would complain about that are still not fixed even today.now last night I come back from a weekend home to seeing my family and came back to a pool of water in my unit.i spoke to the agency and explained that clearly they sold me false information as nothing was mentioned about the leaking and that is a Breach of my contract.my furniture is damaged. TV no longer working from all the water that was leaking and their response was that my items damaged are for my own account and the owner/insurance will not replace anything as I'm supposed to have my own insurance. Please help me Kindly with the matter.i feel unfairly treated in this matter.i never missed any rent and have always been reliable but having to now be treated like nothing deeply saddens me.please help me
