LATE HUURKOR DEPOSIT REPAYMENT

What a story to get your Deposit back from HUURKOR. I have rented the same house for 11 years without missing or paying my rent late. After I moved out on the 24 September and after the inspection I enquired about my deposit refund. On the 29 September I did receive an email from Dineo Maseko that the deposit will be paid out within 21 working days after I moved out as stated in my contract, that I no longer had. We signed the last contract in 2010. From 2011 it has changed to a month to month contract as per consumer protection act section14. According to my calculation from the 29th September, the 21 days was over on the 26 October 2020. I waited until Friday 30 October and when the deposit was not received I called Dineo Maseko. I was informed that I have to wait as the never made any deposits repayments during lockdown and is only started with that in October. People were not even allowed to move during lockdown. I then asked to speak to her supervisor as we were never informed about this chance and nor is that according to the contract. I spoke to Ina More and the reply was that it would be paid early in November and their is nothing I can do about that. I then spoke to Hendry Du Plessis that at least tried to assist and told me that it was loaded for payment on the 30th but that the director that need to authorize the payment was not at work for the past two days. He then informed me that the deducted R400 odd rand for an administration fee at the termination of the contract and the amount to be paid out was only R8200 odd rand. What about the interest on the deposit for 12 years? (144 months) as that is clearly not been added. Why must I be paying admin fee as per the contract, that was given to me at first as R300. So I must be held ransom to the contract but Huurkor can move the payment time set in the contract as it suits them with no worries. According to the CPA interest on the Deposit must be refunded. The deposit was Never Huurkor's money to begin with and they received interest on that deposit in the trust account.
