Huurkor has issued a notice to vacate after complaining about security concerns to them
I went to Huurkor offices on the 15th of November 2017 to complain about the security issues at the flat in Golf Park, upon my arrive at the offices I meet with the manager called Juan whom I told them that my clothes have been ****** and I suggested that they close off the washing line and that there be access control or they must put up CCTV. Juan and I had an argument because of the manner he responded to me. He told me in uncertain terms that they will not install CCTV neither will they close the washing line for access control and if I was not happy with that I can f%@#N vacate the flat. We had an argument concerning his attitude towards me. So today instead of Huurkor attending to the security issue I have raised even in writing to them, they have decided to issue me with a notice to vacate their flat citing instructions from the owner as the reasons. I am no in a financial position to get a new flat because in order for me to get a new flat I need at least R10 000. I have informed them that they must give me my deposit first to allow me to secure a new flat which they refuse to do. I am being victimised for raising a genuine security concern and the only way out is that I must be insulted and also told to vacate the flat. I have since told them that I am not going anyway before I get my deposit, how else am I expected to get a new place without money to pay for it?
