Review of Huurkor Property Management

My experience with Huurkor has been extremely disappointing. After vacating the unit, I was denied my deposit with the claim that I should have painted the property—something that was never communicated as my responsibility. No proper move-out inspection was done in my presence, and I only heard weeks later that someone had entered the unit and deemed it "dirty." Four weeks had already passed by that point, and the expectation seemed to be that the unit would still be spotless and move-in ready. This is unrealistic and unfair.

What followed was a string of unprofessional behavior and outright accusations, including being blamed for *****ing curtain rails. Despite my efforts to take good care of the unit during my stay, there has been no appreciation—only months of silence, lies, and no return of my deposit.

Dealing with Maureen, who was supposedly in charge of maintenance, made things worse. She was consistently rude and unhelpful, acting as though tenants owe her something just for existing. Communication from Huurkor has been practically non-existent, and the way they’ve handled this situation is unacceptable.

I regret ever renting from them. If you're considering using Huurkor, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. This has been one of the worst rental experiences I’ve had.
