Deposit / paint in unit

Hi <br> <br> I lived at number 53 Cosmos Villa for 21/2 years paying my rent monthly. when i moved out of the property on the 31/10/2015 and inspection was done. When the report came i was told i needed to paint the whole unit because the walls where dirty, I was in arrears with my rent and that i paid rent late. <br> The monthly statements i received from the agent never stated these arrears or late payments.<br> with regards to the walls the paint that was used in the flat was off poor quality and when you attempted to wash the walls it would come off. The contract even confirmed on email that the walls could not be washed because of the paint and touchs ups could not be done and I have to paint the whole unit which is unfair. I don't how i was expected to keep the walls clean when the paint washed away when you attempted to clean them, The bathroom paint was the same the steam from bathing stayed on the walls and could not be cleaned. <br> This is very unfair to the tenants . If the paint was right we would have been able to clean the walls . We lift the unit clean expect for the walls we could not clean. <br> I would appreciate you feedback in this regards.<br>
