Billing of water and lights

I stay in sunnyside at Fredenie Flats which is a building owned by Huurkor. They together with Quest Meters have been billing tenants outrageous amounts on the accounts for electricity and water. I stay alone in a bachelor flat, i go to work monday to friday, from 7:30am and i get home at about 5pm. My July account came to R1449.00...with the water bill at R457.01 and Sewer charge at R169.89. Therefore i paid in R1450.00. From then i decided that everyday when going to work i will switch off the water meter and open it wen coming back from work from 5pm and switch it off again at 9pm.<br> <br> August came and again my bill was R1495.71...with the water bill at R497.92 and sewer charge at R182.46.<br> When I called Quest meters they were very rude and told me that its not their problem and i must just pay the amount and if i have any queries they will send someone to check the reading but will charge me R250 for call out fee.<br> <br> I believe this is a total ******* as am hardly home, hardly cook and hardly use the water even when am at home.
