Hush Puppies Menlyn
I was very disappointed with Hush Puppies retail store in menlyn today. I bought a pair of Men's Formal shoes, size 13 from them and only had them on for one day when I noticed that the back of the shoe is too narrow for my feet and and now I have two blisters. I asked for a refund as all their other formal shoes in this size has the same narrow end. I also phoned their customer care line with no help at all. They told me that their policy state that a refund is not allowed. I would have taken a different type of shoe but they are all the same in size 13. A very disappointed customer.

30 Nov 2015, 13:03Hello jansele,
Thank you for your comments and concerns.
We have completed an internal investigation to understand the issues relating to the complaint.
One way to soften the back of the heel counter is to take a warm cloth and hold it on the heel counter and then gently massage the area with your thumb to soften the counter. The reason the heel counter is sometime rigid is due to the shoe 'tree' that is inserted to ensure the shoes keep their shape after production and during transportation.
We also note that not all shoes suit every foot and endeavour to try have customers try the shoes on before buying them to at least ensure step-out-the-box comfort.
Having said that, as the shoes do not show any signs of poor workmanship, company policy is to offer a credit or exchange on condition the shoes are in a completely saleable condition.
We only refund shoes as an option if the claim is based on poor workmanship which is strictly in line with the Consumer Protection Act.
We submit that you have opted for the credit note which should have been processed already.
I trust the above explanation is suitable and appreciate your understanding.
Sincerely,
Laurence
