Breach of Contract

I bought 2 pairs of mens shoes both size 6 online. I scrutinised their return policy about returns.<br> <br> One pair fits beautifully however the other pair is about 1/2 size too big. My husband really loved the shoes so we tried a heel grip as well as an inner sole to make it fit. Sadly it didnt help. When enquiring about returning the shoes I was told that one can only return shoes if it is defective. Nowhere did it state that shoes are not returnable if it doesnt fit. There was not a smaller size available as I would happily have exchanged it for a smaller size. I feel that your exchange policy was not explicit enough and until such time that one cannot return a shoe because of an ill fit, I demand to have my money refunded.
