On the edge sticky adhesive strip

I am extremely disappointed in the Huggies Gold #4 nappies I purchased. I bought two packs because one goes with my daughter to her nanny. At first I thought it was probably just the one nappy the nanny was complaining about but then she asked me to check my pack beucase she had the whole pack that the sticky adhesive strip was on the edge of the nappy. Normally there's a little space of abt 2cm then the sticky strip bt in both packs the strips are on the edge making the nappy smaller than usual as the back elastic is now longer than usual. This is really ridiculous because I've been having more and more problems with huggies. If the nappy was too small I'd understand bt my baby is 10 kgs and the nappy is suitable until 14 kgs.
