Huggies tearing or hard as rock!!

I have been purchasing huggies for my baby since she was born. She is 9 months old now. I always purchase more than one bag per month. In one bag of nappies, the nappies were hard, it feels like the "salt" that absorbs the urine was hard as rock. I could not use these nappies on my daughter. There were quite a few nappies. Now i have purchased another bag...and i found another problem, after two pees, the nappy breaks on the side and the "salt" comes out, i know this as i often find her clothes full of it or when she is playing i find it on the floor. This is not acceptable. i have trusted this brand for years. I used Huggies on my two older kids as well as my baby now.
