Warranty for 2 years but soles only last 7 months

We bought their Salomon Speedcross 6 for our 12 year old son for R2999 on 5 Nov 2023. The soles only lasted 7 months. They said that they are made for trail running - but if he had done trail running everyday the soles would have looked much worse. They give a 2 year warranty but the soles only last 7 months. They do not want to repair or replace under warranty.
