Vodacom and HP Attorneys: Poor client service and administration

I cancelled my contract with Vodacom on 22 January 2025. Made the early cancellation fee via eft and emailed all the documents to Vodacom. I was informed that a final payment will be debited from my bank account for the remaining days. On 25 January 2025, a debit order went off on my bank account not knowing that vodacom generated another invoice on the 25 January 2025 for the amount of R277.47. I only realised that this invoice was generated when Vodacom sent me an SMS on 24 February 2025 to inform me that my account has been handed over to HP Attorneys. On 25 February 2025 the amount of R277.47 was done at a Vodacom Store, with proof of payment emailed to Vodacom. A settlement letter was forwarded to me on 1 March 2025 by Vodacom. Since 25 February 2025, HP Attorneys has been harassing me for the R277.47 even though I have sent on several occasions the proof of payment through to them on the WhatsApp line on the number they provided to me. Each day since 25 February 2025 I have received 3 to 4 calls a day from HP Attorneys and now Vodacom is making it my problem to communicate with HP Attorneys that the account is settled. Which I did with every phone call made to me aswell as sending the documents to them, but I seems no one is taking responsibility between HP Attorneys and Vodacom to update their records for HP Attorneys to stop calling me.

This has also been lodged on my credit profile. So thanks to Vodacom and HP Attorneys I will be sitting with a bad credit profile for the amount of R277.47 which was paid to Vodacom when I immediately became aware of the amount owed to Vodacom. This is the thank you, you get from Vodacom after being a loyal customer to them for more than 20 years not even a reminder that you account is in arrears.
