Shocking sales techniques and outright lies.

I was contacted by a sales person named Howard who said he had picked up my details from an old Protea card that I had many years ago. We liked that card and used it plenty, so I was interested. He tried to sell me a 5 year contract, which I refused (I am 89) so he offered a 1 year which I discussed with my wife and decided that as I am physically handicapped, we would never use their card so again refused. So Howard then said he would give us a 3 month contract FREE OF CHARGE so we could try it out. We accepted, but then discovered the company had somehow managed to get R3,000.00 out of our bank account! I still don't know how they did that! I tried to claim it back. Their receptionist was very helpful and went through all recorded conversations to prove I had rejected their offer, but Senior Management did not agree, and simply offered a cancellation with over R600 deducted. In desperation I agreed and am now waiting for some money back. Disgusting sales tactics and lack of care for individuals.
