********* PRACTISE
I made a purchase at the Boksburg outlet on 25th November 2017, where I bought a drone, upon purchasing this product i was assured by the sales lady that should there be a problem I can exchange the product, on the 2nd December 2017 I went back to the store to return the faulty drone only to be told that no returns, refunds or exchanges will be made and i need to contact head office, I not only received disgusting service from the outlet's manager but head office spins the same story. the credit act stipulates the following:- 3) Goods do not meet a particular purpose
In terms of s55(3) (read with s20) of the CPA, if a consumer informs a supplier that the goods are being bought to fulfill a particular purpose, and the supplier advises that the goods will meet this particular purpose then: 10 days after receiving the goods, the consumer can return the goods if it is not suitable for the particular purpose, and the consumer can cancel without penalty. I can assure Homemark that I will be contacting the The National Consumer Commission to sort out this matter since Homemark are taking no responsibility.
