Homemark - Appalling Service

I purchased a Milex Nutri 1200 approx. Aug/Sep 2017.

The blade unit ceased completely approx. 15 months later. Luckily it had a 2 year warranty. I took it back to the Tyger Valley store in Cape Town mid December 2018 hoping that they could just give me a replacement unit and sort out he admin/paperwork with their HQ without inconveniencing the customer, but I wasn't that lucky. The store manager informed me they have to send everything to HQ in JHB where the decision is made to fix or repair. Waiting time would usually is 2 weeks but due to the maintenance department closing over the festive season the store only expected it back mid Jan'19. My healthy morning smoothies had to put on hold for a month....but I made peace with it. The manager mentioned that they had a few similar complaints and that that blade unit couldn't handle the workload. I made numerous follow up calls to the store and only received the unit in he beginning of February, which appeared to be a replacement unit. On collection the manager informed me that should that blade unit become faulty then they will most like have to replace the complete set with a Nutri 1000 as they have discontinued the Nutri 1200 due to obvious reasons. 9 Months later the replacement blade unit ceased and the new team at the store of which the store manager was very unprofessional, in my opinion, as he kept on referring o his regional manager and HQ for not granting him the authority to make decisions. According to Homemark the replacement blade unit does not have a supplier warranty as it is a spare part and is only covered by law for 6 months. I wasn't happy and contacted the regional manager and a lady that seemed to be a National Manager of some sorts who is not to be phoned by the public who in turn referred me to customer care. Eventually I had to pay R200 for a new blade unit of which the standard ETA is 2 weeks. 2 Weeks later I phoned the store, but they couldn't provide me with any answers as to why the unit had not arrived yet nor where in the process it was. I phoned customer care who asked that I send them a picture of the main unit, which appeared that HQ was a bit confused and haven't shipped it from JHB yet. Customer care informed me that the unit would be at the store within a week. A week later I phoned the store in the morning and the lady said she would follow up with HQ, but could only provide feedback the next day, which I couldn't understand. A few days later I received a call from customer care who confirmed the unit arrived at the store in Tyger Valley. I collected the unit as soon as possible from a new team of employees. Staff turnover must be a big number at Homemark. The next morning I prepared my fruit and veg for a smoothie, put in he cup, but for some bizarre reason I couldn't ***** on the blade unit. Thought I was maybe too excited for being able to make smoothies again and gave it to my wife to try, but to no avail. Took it back to the store who confirmed that the previous Nutri 1200model was discontinued and they most likely shipped me a new 1200 model blade unit. And all that after I sent them a picture and given them the broken unit, UNBELIEVABLE! I asked them to take the unit back and refund me the R200, which they wouldn't do, but they said they would contact HQ and give me feedback the following day, Monday. I never received the feedback as promised, again, and decided to go to the shop on Tuesday. The young man at the store mentioned that the regional manager was at the store the previous day, Monday, and it was brought to his attention, but he couldn't tell me more.... I found it strange, but the young man at the store couldn't look me in the eyes so I think he might have ****. In my opinion if they can't provide me with the correct size blade unit to fit my cups then Homemark must as a minimum provide me with a big and small cup that will fit the new blade unit assuming it will be compatible with the previous model main blending unit. If not compatible then they will have to replace the complete set free of charge. In summary: The after sales service and follow up/courtesy calls are apaling, the only product I have ever purchased at Homemark is of inferior quality, their in-store staff appear to not know much and the staff turnover rate seem to be high.
