Floor Max Top Mop 360. Poor quality

My wife bought a Top Mop (Home Mark) from Game in Kenilworth centre, Cape Town just over a year ago. It worked well for a while. But then she experienced problems with it. The spindle stopped spinning. Due to the lock down we could not take it in to have it checked by Homemark, and as we both are in our 60's we avoid going out unnecessarily. We went with it Game in Kenilworth a week ago and were told to take it to the Homemark store in N 1 City which we did today (1st sept 2020). The young gentleman, Ayub was helpful and checked it and found that the ***** that fits into the plastic casing is completely rusted. He could not get the plastic cover off the ***** and he told us that he cannot do anything unfortunately. He said that after using the mop one should throw out the water from the bucket to avoid the ***** rusting (which fits into the plastic cover). He said a other customers had the same problem. I feel that this should be told to customers when purchasing that the ***** is prone to rusting and not to leave water in the bucket once the floors are mopped. Furthermore as Homemark knows that the ***** is prone to rusting surely they should do something about it. Like have a galvanized ***** fitted to avoid rusting. Surely that would not be very expensive, but it becomes expensive to the customers because they do not sell the spindle as a spare part. In other words one has to buy a complete set again and it cost about R450.00. We are disappointed in this product and would caution people to buy it.
