********* Business Practice - be careful

We reacted to a Homecloud adverti*****t for installing internet. My daughter just started and internship and I agreed to open an account with Homecloud on her behalf. From my first contact with Homecloud, I made it very clear that I DO NOT GIVE PERMISSION for debit orders, but will do a monthly EFT. I spoke to a consultant last week who advised that the debit order will go off at the end of July. I again explained to her, and she promised that their will be NO DEBIT ORDER if I do an EFT before 31 July. The monthly amount would be R450.

Low and behold. Homecloud did NOT HONOUR THEIR PROMISES and they installed a debit order of R827 which was subtracted WITHOUT MY PERMISSION from my account today. This, in spite of the promises of their employees Ntombizonke Qhawe Zama (Sales Associate) and Anisah Hansa (Customer Experience Specialist), as well as Gugulethu Mzimela
(Processing Administrator) who gave me a written assurance that they will not do debit orders.

Future customers: Be very careful before entering a contract with a company that DOES NOT KEEP TO PROMISES and have NO PERMISSION TO INSTALL DEBIT ORDERS ON MY ACCOUNT. Homecloud is very closely linked to TELKOM - and you can see all the horrible reviews that Telkom receives. BE WARNED AND BE VERY CAREFUL.
