Horrible experience with Homecloud service

I subscribed to the 20gig day & 20gig night time data plan in November 2017. Due to the area I live in coverage is very limited. I first tried some other data providers which did not work. When approaching Homecloud they assured me that my area was covered for LTE usage. At first I connected but with only 3G coverage. Due to the fact that I had limited options and I run a part time bookkeeping business from home I had to be satisfied with what I got. I phoned the call centre at homecloud and they told me to do a setting in order for me to get better coverage. It did not really make a big difference. From January 2018 I started to occasionally battle to connect. In March I send an email to Homecloud enquiring about the access to the website in order to check my usage etc. I never got an answer back. In April my connection was more off than on. When I eventually got hold of someone they told me that they had issues with Telkom with no answer on when the problem will be fixed. Later on in April I send an email to Homecloud regarding my issue with not being able to connect. No answer yet a again. In the meantime I had to start using my phone as a hotspot just to be able to do my work. This also created a lot of frustration as neither MTN nor Vodacom has very good coverage in my area. In May the problem still persisted and I eventually got hold of someone at Homecloud who at first told me that they could see that I hardly used any data during the month of April. I was put through to another lady who told me if I wanted to cancel the contract I had to pay a huge cancellation fee . I refused as this was not my fault in the first place and I was not going to keep a contract without any service. She then checked my data usage and emailed me the report. According to her I used 18gig in April whereas the previous lady told me I hardly used any data. How could this be possible. I then got a message from a manager at Homecloud who told me that they could offer me another package on Vodacom. I told him I do not want a Vodacom package as it becomes to expensive and Vodacom also does not have proper coverage in our area as my mother who lives on the same property uses Vodacom as her service provider with endless hassles. I invited anyone from Homecloud to come to my premises to test the coverage to confirm what I said but no one came. I emailed them again a few times with no answer and the last resort was to phone them again around the 29th of May and told them to sort this out before the end of the month as I will not pay another month for a service that I do not receive. Yet again I was ignored. I then phoned my bank and stopped the debit order. I also send them a letter where I explained what I did and asked them to collect their device soonest. I would definitely not recommend Homecloud to anyone and by reading previous reviews it seems that I am not the only person extremely unhappy with the service. They make no effort at all to accommodate their users but they have no problem in collecting your money every month.
