Pathetic service

I placed a bet on IPL Cricket match which was Mumbai Idians to win against Gujarat Lions. Mumbai Idians won in the Super Over. I logged in my account after the match and discovered that it was a losing bet.

I phoned the help desk and enquired it. I spoke to the Supervisor, Brian and explained to him in detail of what occured and he investigated the matter. He got back to me and confirmed the error on the system but said he will phone me back the following day. He did and also had a very long excuse but couldn't pay me out. I spoke to a manager just now and still after all this, no pay out and I was in the wrong.

I left alot of detail out seeing that it is quite long to explain, but will definitely tell my story to the media.

This is so frustrating how we go through all of this and yet nothing was done. Left alone the R200 airtime I waisted through this pathetic service.

I am not a person that will make a big fuzz about something but I hag enough and need to take this public if not resolved.

I have to understand their point of view but mine can not be justified by them.

Hi Mr Moosa
We have looked at your feedback above, and taken it up with our team.
The betting option you took for this game was the TO WIN THE MATCH, and within this betting option it included the option of the TIE.
Therefore, although the game went to a SUPER OVER, the game had in fact ended in a TIE.
Hollywoodbets offers the options of betting on the WIN (INCL SUPER OVER), as well as the option of WIN (TIE NO BET).
Therefore the option you bet on included the TIE, which meant the SUPER OVER would not count in the outcome of this market. The TIE would have also been clearly displayed when you placed your bet.
The odds in this market also would have been greater on either team winning because of the TIE betting being a factor.
Therefore your bet being a losing bet is the correct outcome in this market.
We apologise for this not being made clearer to you, and we will address this with our team.
Regards,
Devin

Hi Devin.
I thank you for the reply.
My problem however is that when I placed my bet on the 28th April, there was no option available to include the Super Over. I had a telephonic conversation with the help desk supervisor, Brian on 29th April at 20:55 about it and he spoke to technicians that he told me in this conversation that they confirmed that the option was not available due to technical error. I asked him to investigate all my previous cricket bets and that he will notice that I always select to include the Super Over in all my bets as it only has a difference of 2 percent in the odds which is very small. He confirmed that I always did take the include super over option.
My argument is based on the fact that I did not have that option due to a so called technical error and was under the impression that I am covered, as long as Mumbai Idians win the match.
My other problem is that after Brian confirmed to me that that option was not available to me, he told me that he will get back to me the following day. He did contact me the following day, 29th April but only to tell me that he spoke to someone else who confirmed that the Super Over option was available to me when I placed my bet.
I was confused because it contradicted to what I said and what he confirmed by the technicians the previous day.
To me it was unacceptable that I did not have the option that I always play and when I placed my bet I accepted that it does cover me seeing that Mumbai Indians won even though it was with the Super Over.
I am a loyal customer to Hollywood and I know I do not need to explain that as you can verify that through my history on your system.
To me it is that the system was not yet properly updated and prevented me from what I normally bet and I was under the impression that I am covered as long my team wins, seeing that the option was absent.
It is frustrating to have to prove myself right while there was an error.
I told Brian as well that I won once R19 000 but the system showed my bet as a losing bet and luckily I double checked the results of flash score and had to phone in to rectify the score and only then my bet was changed to a winning bet.
I do not see this as any different.

Hi Devin.
I am sure that all your calls are being recorded. So can you please retrieve the conversation between Brain and myself on the 29th April 2017 @ 20:55. The recording will verify the confirmation he gave me by the technicians he spoke to about the option (including super over) that was not available on the 28th. So how could he have confirmed that to me on the 29th and then phoned me back on the 30th and then tells me that the option was actually available to me.
The fact that he did confirmed that the system was not updated as per usual surely makes my bet eligible to a winning bet.
