Hollywood Bets Delays "Instant" 1Voucher Withdrawal – Unacceptable and Misleading
On 21 June 2025, I attempted to withdraw R150 from my Hollywood Bets account using the 1Voucher withdrawal method. This method is advertised by Hollywood Bets as instant, meaning the voucher should be immediately available once processed.
The withdrawal went through on their side, but I then received a message saying it was "rejected by the bank" with no proper explanation. I called Hollywood Bets support and was told their system was having issues, and I would receive a callback in 30 minutes once it was reset.
I called back at around 04:00 AM, just as they said, and was then told something completely different — that I now had to wait 48 to 72 hours for the funds to be returned to my account. This is not only frustrating, but it contradicts the instant processing time they promise for voucher withdrawals.
According to Hollywood Bets’ own terms and FAQs, 1Voucher withdrawals are meant to be immediate. If unclaimed, funds should reverse back to the account within 30 days, not 48 to 72 hours. Your general policy also claims withdrawals are processed within 24 hours. What I was told, and what actually happened, is completely inconsistent with what is publicly promised.
This delay is unacceptable and unfair. Under the Consumer Protection Act, I have the right to timely access to my funds and to fair, honest treatment. I was misled and left without access to my own money, with no valid reason and no real-time support.
I am demanding that the R150 be returned to my account immediately, along with a full explanation as to why my withdrawal failed and why I was misinformed twice. I also expect a formal apology and some form of goodwill for the time and inconvenience caused.
If this is not resolved within 24 hours, I will escalate this matter to the National Consumer Commission and take further action.

**Complaint by: Marc Harris**
This is now my **fifth formal complaint** regarding HollywoodBets and their disgraceful failure to process a *minor* withdrawal of just **R150** via OneVoucher. I have been a **loyal customer for over 10 years**, depositing what must now total in the **hundreds of thousands of rands** over the course of that decade.
Yet when it comes to paying out a small amount – *a mere R150* – I’ve been sent on a **pathetic runaround**, passed from agent to agent with **false promises and zero accountability**. The staff have no authority, no clue, and absolutely no sense of urgency or care. It's as if they’re trained to deflect rather than resolve.
Let me be clear:
* First I was promised **4 hours**.
* Then **24 hours**.
* Then **48 hours**.
* And now we’re past **72 hours**… and still *nothing*.
One staff member even told me the bank was *rejecting the OneVoucher transaction*. That’s utter nonsense. OneVoucher is not a traditional bank system. It’s just a code. I don’t believe their excuse – it’s a **cover-up**, plain and simple. A facade to delay, avoid, and ultimately frustrate customers into giving up.
I’ve spoken to so-called “managers” who promised call-backs and resolutions. They deliver *nothing*. No accountability. No action. No service. Just scripted excuses and dismissiveness.
Meanwhile, **HollywoodBets spends billions on ads** across South Africa – from taxis to TV, billboards to YouTube. Yet they can't resolve a R150 error in three days?
It’s **disgusting** and **shameful**.
---
### **The Bigger Issue: A System Built to Exploit**
I’ve reviewed HollywoodBets’ disclaimers and terms. They’ve got a clause that says they can **change the terms whenever it suits them**. That’s a red flag of the highest order. It basically means:
> “We can do whatever we want. You, the player, can do nothing about it.”
This isn’t customer service – this is **abuse**.
They’ve built a system where players have **no real recourse**, and the staff are just human walls with **zero decision-making power**. No escalation. No responsibility. Just bots with voices.
---
### **Formal Action Now Underway**
I am now doing the following:
1. **Submitting this formal complaint to every platform** I can – HelloPeter, social media, forums, and international watchdogs.
2. **Sending letters to all known partners** of HollywoodBets, including payment processors, advertising partners, and regulators, warning them that they are tied to a casino that fails its most basic responsibilities.
3. **Launching a campaign via Casino Watch** to expose this company for what it is: a billion-rand behemoth that can’t process a R150 payout – yet spends fortunes painting itself as trustworthy.
---
**HollywoodBets is not just failing – they’re violating trust.**
And if they can’t process a *tiny R150 withdrawal*, how many other players are being ****** silently?
**They should not be allowed to operate until they clean up their operations, restore transparency, and treat customers with respect.**
This is your red flag.
You’ve been warned.
