Breach of Trust – Referral Bonus Not Honored

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with Hollywood Bets regarding a misleading referral bonus communication. I received an official email from Hollywood Bets confirming that I had been rewarded with a R50 referral bonus, with the assurance that the bonus would be credited within 24 hours.

Despite this clear promise, the bonus was never credited. Instead, I was later informed that my referral “did not meet the requirements as per the terms and conditions.” At no stage was I advised of these requirements prior to receiving the email, nor were they mentioned in the communication that promised me the bonus.

This practice is misleading and undermines customer trust. When a company issues a written commitment, it should honor that commitment. Hiding behind undisclosed terms and conditions after making a promise reflects poor business ethics and a lack of accountability.

I expect Hollywood Bets to rectify this issue by honoring the bonus as promised. Failure to do so not only damages their credibility but also discourages customers from engaging with their promotions in the future.
