Unhappy Customer
Date: 04 October 2019 Name : Phindile Tshabalala Age : 33 years (Female) Tel: *** It is with great disappointment that I had to lay a complaint about the service I have been getting from Hollard and their Service Providers VDS Auto…. I was involved in an accident on the 2nd of August and I logged a claim on the 5th August with FNB Brokers which their Underwriter is Hollard. And I took my car for assessment on the 13th Aug and the pictures were sent to Hollard on the 14th Aug and then my Claim was approved on the 19th of Aug and they selected the same Panel Beaters that did my Assessment which is VDS Autobody the Roodepoort Branch. I then received a call from them (VDS – lady named Annatjie) to do the booking for my vehicle, I then advised her that I can bring it in and asked how long will they take for the repairs as I need the vehicle for the weekend of 31st Aug as I have a trip to go to and she said it will take more than that more that 2 weeks so rather I bring it after then. We then arrange that we will book it in for the 1st week September. Ever since then there had been stories about parts not being available since then. I have been calling every 2nd day of the week, I called Hollard to complain and I ask that they change a Panel Beater for me that has parts, but I was assisted by Thabo Gololo and we asked to do a follow up ourselves. They gave us the order number as they blamed Renault SA for not having parts however only one order was not received which is Left Bumper protection and today, I spoke to Innocentia from Renault South Africa on ***, quoted the wap/ order number 36427, she says the order will only be received after the 18th Oct. While their policy says the parts are delivered within 21 working days. And Annatjie from VDS Autobody says they can only book my car in on the 21st and parts will all be received on the 25th Oct and the panel beating takes approximately +/- 21 days which means to me the whole of November I will not be having a car after driving around with a smashed car since 3rd Aug.
So how is it that Renault South Africa not complying to their policy of 21 working days of delivering the parts? How is it that VDS Autobody still delays my Car being fixed and says it will take 21 w/days from the 25th Oct whereas I have been waiting over 2 months already? How is Hollard not persisting the Service Providers to keep their turn-around time in order to make me a Happy client as they are My Insurance Provider and I pay them premiums every month so that I am secured and assured about such events. Driving around with an open bumper is risky as well cos there are parts visible and can be ****** wherever I park. I am so angry and disappointed, UNHAPPY and I want my car fixed as soon as possible. All these companies are Financial Service Providers (FSCA) and they all report under Financial Service Board. I cannot tolerate such.
