Unforeseen increase of 15% on all funeral policies.

I received an sms stating that my Policy will increase with an additional 15%, an unforeseen increase. I send them an email stating that I do not want that increase and I'm currently unemployed and can't afford an additional increase if 15%. I received a call from the retention team, been on the phone for almost an hour. There's nothing that they can do regarding the increase and that it do affect all the funeral policies. The increase is due to all claims paid out during covid. The premium increase but not the cover amount. I explained that I can hardly afford the policy and I'm paying it with a grant I received, but there's nothing that they can do about it. There's only 2 options, either I can cancel thepolicy which I had for years or I can reduce the cover amount. Both options is not in the clients best interest but the company alone. Alot lost their jobs due to covid and we cannot afford to lose our policies and I explained that I can't afford an additional increase which is an unforeseen increase, and was clearly explained that there's nothing that they can do about it. I do believe that this is clearly **************** and hollard wants us to lose our policies. I do have funeral covers with Sanlam, and since covid started they implemented that I can pay R50 a month until we no longer on any levels. Hollard has nothing in plan for their customers.
