Should have checked Hello Peter before I signed up
I guess rules are rules, but I have also been in client service more than half my life. I just got off the phone with Phuti from Hollard, trying to salvage a salvagable (what I believe) situation. My policy is 4 months in arrears(not consecutively and little bit of a financial dip, something 90% of South Africans experience theses days. My policy lapses tomorrow, so I called trying to arrange some sort of agreement. First. I requested to be called at 12h10 as this is my lunchtime and I will be able to take personal calls. I was called on my personal number prior to this time making it impossible to answer the call. Number 2 upon my return from lunch I found an sms requesting i call, which I did, but the lady who I was to ask for was on lunch. I called back as instructed at 14h00, still not available apparently took her lunch late (all fair) when I finally got hold of her, I had to deal with a horrible line that kept cutting out. Then, taking into account that she is a mere junior I asked to speak to a manager, which became a black hole, since dear Phuti never got her to speak to me. In all essence all companies have rules but my unhappiness is based on the mere fact that over a year's worth of premiums cannot justify a company of Hollards size to wait 4 days till pay day for me to try correct at least this part of my life. I feel as if I was ****** and ****** from. This might sound petty, but again, the 21st of a month has not ever been knowingly mentioned in ANY correspondence, why could the company not move their lapse date to 24th as this is indeed a date mentioned before.
